Good Strategy, Bad Strategy is one of the best introductions to the world of strategy and strategic thinking I’ve found. It’s incredible well written, dense and tremendously well explained. There are gems on every page, and every point the author makes is reinforced by examples and illustrations. Effective strategy is still an exercise in educated guess and informed choice. You won’t know whether it was truly effective until you see how it plays out. This book gives you a clear-eyed understanding of why strategy is important, what makes it good, and why there is so much bad strategy in the world.
